Conventionally we all have had rosogollas of only one colour that is white and sweet and yummy but in chennai we used to get 2 flavours that one is strawberry that is kind of thick and of great consistency and normal that just make the sugar syrup pops out once you squeeze it. i have many experience of eating rosogollas in different places but we actually dont have flavours sort of thing in rosogollas like that of icecreams but there is one such lady who thought why such good tasting rosogolla has no flavour option …. who is she lets find out..
Swathi is the lady who is an entrepreneur has give a twist to this traditionally sweet and white dessert making it spicy, sour, bittery and many flavours u all will be thinking by now that she will be using artificial flavours but all are naturally and even sugar too is not added to them all that sweetness or spice comes from the natural ingredients used as flavours
okk where did she get all those flavours from …
FRUITS: orange, litchi, strawberry, raspberry, watermelon and pineapple and list goes on..
cappacino, green chilly, jeera, khala kata and so many flavours so why did she wanted to induce flavour to get the good boy rosogolla to a bad ass guy that ideas comes from her mother who made all those flavours in rosogolla first and now Swathi turned it into a tasty business and guess what she has a sale of around 3000 rosogollas everyday and she does order for marriages and functions too… a truly self sustaining woman with rosogolla
so why she chose rosogolla she could have chose any other dessert or anyother dish?
as she is from the heart a blue kolkatan, she was brought up here and she knows the connect of people of Kolkata towards rosogolla but the admirers for the sweet went on declining according to her and hence she decided to induce flavour to keep up the good name and fame of rosogolla midst of Kolkata people and once she introduced chocolate rosogolla the welcoming hearts for that dish is humongous and so she decided to continue adding different flavours to rosogolla even she does rosogolla flavoured with rose petals and that is interesting …
