Hi guys! Hope you all safe and good 👍Today we are going to see the childhood problems that most of the children facing in their childhood.

To care for the young one is one of the fundamental function of a family.children need to master the developmental tasks of each stage.children have their own problems which are specific to their psycho social development.

Psychological problems:

Insecurity:

 Insecurity makes the child ding on to the mother all the time.child may start biting the nails,suck the thumbs or play with genitals.insecurity is expressed through behaviour like crying,irritability,refusing feeds,vomiting,startled reactions and sleep disturbances.child being neglected,separation from mother,alcoholic father ,partial grandparents could be the reasons.

Fantasy:

Children always enjoy fantasy for example the three headed monster,flying carpet etc..

Dependence on parents even after six years:

 A normal child wants to be independent but parents force themselves on the child to help.first the child may resent and later accept it as a luxury and remains dependent for a long time 

Infexiority:

A child being small and weak feels inferior compared to adults.parents and teachers need to give a correct picture about his abilities and weakness so that he does not become timid or over confident but increase the self esteem in a phased manner.

Special problems:

Thumb sucking:

Till the age of 3 or 4 sucking is a very common for survival.lack of parental attention and breast feeding are the reason for thumb sucking.

Nail biting:

It is a manifestation of loneliness.feelings of rejection or unexpressed anger.give more attention,sympathetic listening and intersting activities during leisure e.

Beravement:

The child when loses significant persons or things reacts by crying or rejecting to eat or play.parenta and teachers need to be sympathetic and supportive.

Failure in examinations :

Every child is afraid of failure in examinations and severly reacts to it.parents need to give more attention to the child they should not blame the child or punish it.

Scholastic backwardness:

Specific problems:

Language difficulties:

Some children find it very difficult to learn a language other than their mother language when they have to study more than one Language.

Attention defecit disorder:

The child is unable to concentrate and get distracted easily.this may be due to subtle brain damage or maturational defect.
