We all want to be happy in our lives, always wish to get happiness, we never wish for anything bad to happen to us. All we want is good things to happen and want everything according to our convenience. Unknowingly all these wants start growing in ourselves. It happens in such a speed that we don't even recognize.
Have you ever questioned your self what is happiness? Okay I did ask myself what is happiness and I understood that it our own feeling and our own way of thinking brings hapiness.
I am going to tell you my incident of happiness. I have a small family, earnings of my family were not that great, before spending Rs.10 also my parents used to think about it. I had friends, whose parents were rich when compared to us. I was in class 5th when I asked my dad to buy me a cycle. I still remember that I asked him the cycle not because I wanted it but by seeing that my friends had it. I wished to have it too.
My dad said will buy you cycle in few months, I used to ask him every single day. After few months, finally he bought me the cycle which costed around Rs.3000/- . I was very happy with it. I was like I got everything and don't need anything else.
later I got to know that my dad didn't even have the money, he borrowed from his owner to see me happy.
At that time I had no realization, but now when I think about it I understood that for few, happiness can be bought and for few, happiness can't be bought.
Now, I have found my happiness not in the purchased things (like in the old days), but in the people around me. The amount of satisfaction which I get by seeing others happy became immeasurable.
Yes, I am hungry for happiness.
Yes, I am selfish for making others happy.
Yes, I am starving to spread smiles.
Yes, Yes, Yes …. I want my happy feeling to grow more and more.
In the starting I said that we all wish good for our own selves, there is nothing wrong in feeling that way. But, I would add to your thinking that why can't we wish for other's happiness too. Once you start thinking in that way I guarantee you that your happiness will double and the way you lived will change.
Do start finding happiness in intangibles rather than in the physical objects as those feeling don't fade away. Increase your hunger for smiles.
Activity: Do a simple task, Ask the people around you and your friends about a single incident you made them happy. You may not remember, but they will definitely do. This would help to spread smiles and increase the bond. ❤❤
