Those Were The Days : Part Ii

Hey everyone! How are you all? Hope you all are doing well.

One of the most memorable days or moments in our life are never made, they are lived. I don't know if anyone has ever said, if yes then well feel free to tell me about it. Other than that, one of the bestest memories are made with the people who are the closes to us both knowingly or unknowingly.

When I think of these days, then there are so many days. Some with family, some with friends, and some with my cousin's or the time we spent in out summer vacations. But no matter what it was, even if I was hurt or had a big fight with someone, now that I think about it I have a big smile on my face. But as I shared my first blog based on my hostel days, I thought I would continue it with the same.

Other than waking up together, eating together, watching movies, shopping or even brushing our teeths together, there's a lot that happens in a hostel where you can make tremendous memories. And one such thing was the GANAPATI FESTIVAL. As I come from the state of Maharashtra, Ganapati Festival or Utsav is very important for us with some other festivels as well. When we used to live in a apartment, both me and my brother were the first one's for decorations, competitions and Aarti as well. As kids we loved it, we do it even now. But the excitement died when we changed our space and went out to live in a different place, with hardly any houses around us. And we never had Ganapati Bappa in our house, for some reason that is as never supposed to know as a child.

But as went to hostel the excitement was back. The joy that childishness was back, and I was so happy. All my friends and I were excited, we were part of cleaning, decorating, giving suggestions, most importantly Dancing😅 Ganapati Festival is almost nothing if you didn't dance while welcoming Ganapati Bappa and seeing off. But unfortunately in our hostel Bappa stayed only for five days. But we made sure that we had fun.

So for five days we arranged competitions in the hostel so that the spirit is high. Competitions like Painting, Rangoli making, Mehendi making, Make-up competition, Fashion show, dance competition singing competition. We also hard sports competition, like basketball, football, kho-kho and I don't remember much, as I use to play only these one's.

But all together after five days, we were again ready to see him off safely, yet with some noise. That's how it is done. People might complain about it, but this is how it it. I releived my Childhood excitement once again because of hostel and I thank them for that.

Do let me know what makes you excited as well, I would love to know.

Thankyou.
