The World's First Underwater Farm

Hello everyone! how are you all? hope you all are doing well and fine. Yesterday while I was going across some of the exciting videos and YouTube I found this one a little more knowledgeable than other ones. In this video I learn how we can grow plants under water and I thought I'll let you know as well.

So it's not an aquarium but it's the first underwater farm and also only underwater farm in the world. It's not a farm where in fishes breathe but it's from wearing plants that we all can eat. I know you might have a question now that how do plants that live underwater actually taste like?

Sergio Gamberini, From Italy is the owner of Memo's Garden also known as the world's first underwater farm and the only underwater farm.

You know as we all know to grow food we need land, that's why as our population grows we would be in need of more land to grow more food. But now that we are in a billions of quantity we do not have that much land to grow that amount of food. So federico and his team thought that as well as no space on the land, why don't we grow food underwater!

Sergio Gamberini, the owner of the company started it as a joke, but when he started doing it, he realised it actually works. First, they created huge transparent bubbles and put them 20 feet below the sea. Of course to keep the bubbles in one place they were anchored with chains to the sea floor. And finally, the plot in plants in pots and place them inside the bubble and grown them as it would be grown normally on land.

This company has an automatic system where in the monitor the plants 24 hours a day. According to the people who work for this company they say that growing plants under water would be better than growing plants on land reason behind that mostly you do not need chemicals to kill the pests, secondary the temperature is always seen and lastly you don't even need to water the plants, why?  because of the the difference between the temperature outside and inside the biosphere, the salty sea water condenses and turns into freshwater droplets. That's why there is unlimited source of freshwater.

Considering the climate change and the over growing population this type of farming could be the answer to our questions tomorrow. But of course when it comes to low income farmers this is not a possibility but yet again it is not impossible as well. Hope you all like the blog.

Thankyou 🌼
