It is a easy road if you are travelling from Mumbai then you need to follow the route as Pune first, then Mahabaleshwar and then 30 km to Tapola. And if you are travelling from Pune then you just need to get to Mahabaleshwar first and then Tapola is just 30 km away. The primary attraction in Tapola is the Shivsagar Lake which is around 90km long and it is also the reservoir of Koyna Dam.
The third place in our list is Jawhar. Jawhar is a hill station located in the Palghar district of Maharashtra. It is situated in Nashik and the nearest Ghat to Jawhar would be Amboli Ghat. The road that will take you to the Jawhar Ghat or hill station was initially a state highway, not it has been converted into a National Highway which then has increased the level of tourism in the area. Amboli Ghat or hill station also happens to be the last hill station before the coastal lands of Goa. As it is a Ghat it is also famous for its beautiful surroundings and waterfalls. Especially in the monsoon season is when Amboli Ghat really flourishes its beauty.
The last place in our list would be Dapoli. Dapoli is known for its coastal line and is also a city in the district of Ratnagiri. When the British were in Maharashtra they made sure that they set their camps in Dapoli and hence Dapoli is known as Camp Dapoli. Dapoli has something to off to everyone, whether it is the beaches, the caves, historical temples and serene beauty you ask for it and you will et it in Dapoli.
There is beauty everywhere you go in India, no doubt but the very presence of Western Ghats makes Maharashtra even more beautiful. Hoe one day when anyone of you visit Maharashtra or are already in Maharashtra, reading this blog might have been helpful for you while travelling.
