Writing- What Does It Mean To You?

Hey all,

I know all of you who have come to read my blog today have a kind of interest in writing as even maybe in reading. And as a fellow blogger, I understand what writing may mean to you. Though I know that it differs from person to person, I still somewhere feel that we all share that same zeal and that’s also the reason why today we are sharing this platform. So, albeit the fact that you all are well aware of writing and structuring an article or a blog, I still want to talk about it because this is something that binds us all together here and this should be discussed.

So, for me writing is creating, putting my thoughts and viewpoints in front of you all and sharing my experiences and understanding with every one of you present here. Though I have seen many people who are great at making stories and I myself really adore that genre because the kind of sensation, mystery, entertainment or plot a story can create or the way it catches your attention without your knowledge is just perfect. I’m not saying that only this genre is interesting or consuming. I understand that every genre has its own features and qualities but I feel that we from our childhood have been told stories, short stories, folklores and all of these things because of which today we are more towards this genre than any other. Of course, there are people out there who love other genres too. But if I talk about myself then I don’t know if I will ever be able to change my favourite genre.

Also, I believe that story making requires real struggle and talent too. I’m saying this because I’ve tried it and believe me it’s not easy to even decide the plot of the story. Like in a blog or an article it’s easy to portray your viewpoints and understanding and you are good to go but story making needs more than this. It requires a plot, characters, structure, dialogues, a protagonist, an antagonist, a twist, climax, interval and much more. These things are the pre-requisite for a good story. At times you feel that the plot should be easy to understand yet complicated for the readers so that they develop that keen interest in your story and read till the end.

So, every genre is special. Ergo, keep writing.

Thank you.
