Hi, we are already beating the covid second wave in India, I think it's the best time if we start planning our trips before the third wave kicks in. Today I will help you to go on a trip to araku popularly known as Andhra's Ooty. Araku is a hill station in visakapatnam district in Andhra Pradesh. You can take a train from visakapatnam to araku valley to witness the most beautiful views and nature.

For Heritage Lovers:

Borra Caves are million-year-old caves formed as a result of the flow of the Gosthani River on the limestone deposits. They are an eye feast for anyone who loves anthropology and you can climb the rocks, It's a different level experience that would be with you forever. You can also visit the temple which is on the tip of the caves. The artificial lights in the caves make it more effective for an Instagram picture.

For WaterFall Lovers-

Araku has many beautiful waterfalls like Chaparai, Katika, Tadimada, Duduma, Ranajilleda, and many more. Personally, I suggest visiting Katika waterfalls as you have to trek through the mountains to reach there. You can also visit them in a vehicle if you don't want to trek.

Katiki Falls

For Culture Lovers-

The place that best explains araku's amazing good old culture is the tribal museum. It's located in the araku valley town and is an actual representation of Andhra's tribal culture. The museum is designed in such a way that it shows every normal aspect of the culture, They start with tribal weddings, their dressing, Kitchen, their dance how they spend the evenings, and many more.

For Food Lovers-

Araku valley is exceptionally famous for bamboo chicken. They cook the chicken naturally on fire after stuffing it with gravy. The amazing part is they cook it inside a bamboo trunk and that's why the name. It is absolutely delicious and a must-try for any food lover.

Araku is also famous for its coffee plantation. They grew coffee farms and you can see them as you travel across the place. Don't forget to buy a packet of coffee powder as you don't want to miss this amazing coffee. It's totally natural and comes with a great aroma.

Mislleanous Site seeing-

Tyda Nature Camp is located between vizag and araku valley and can be a great stay if you wish to stay in the middle of the jungle.

Padmapuram Gardens have a variety of flowers and plants that make you very close to nature. You can go for a visit and find out how many wonderful various species of plants and flowers are here with us.

Also, Don't forget to stop at the Galikonda viewpoint when you are traveling up to the valley.

Try camping and trekking with tents as that's what hill stations are all about.
