It has been almost one and half years now since we faced the pandemic and still are caught in it waiting for its permanent exit. At first, people faced it very courageously and discovered different ways to spend time productively at home. During this time internet connection and TV were the most entertaining media for people. They could develop some hobbies, try recipes, show off talent on social media, and so on.
But as the second wave came with its horrible face, people got very scared. Now people are not able to indulge in their hobbies or work. A strange fear and anxiety have taken place in their minds. Consequently, they are again caged in their homes and getting bored. TV or the internet cannot divert them anymore. So, what can we do to overcome this boredom in an innovative way? Let's check on the below activities.
Yes, music has been very effective since ancient times to relieve stress. When you feel bored, just sit back and listen to any relaxing meditation music that will soothe you. You can also play your favorite songs that refresh your mood but do not listen to any sad songs.
Write Down What You Feel
Do you remember that scene in the movie, “Jab We Met ” when Kareena asks Shahid to flush the photo of his girlfriend who ditched him? Similarly, we can also apply the same to our negative feelings. Just write down all your negative feelings on a paper, read them once, and then just flush it off or simply tear it into pieces. Believe me, it will make you feel better.
Watch Comedy Movies
Laughter is the best medicine always. So watch some good comedy movies that make you laugh. You won't believe but people have conquered many diseases just by laughter therapy. I enjoy movies like ‘Herapheri’, ‘Dhamaal’, ‘Andaj Apna Apna’, and Marathi movies like ‘Ashi hi Banvabanavi’, ‘Valu’, ‘Deool’, etc.
Watch Nature or Be in Nature's Company
I know we are restricted to go out or travel. But we can still watch nature's miracles from our balcony or terrace. Have you watched the sunrise? Don't you feel it is an amazing miracle of nature? Yes, the sun rises and sets every day but watching the colorful sky at sunrise or sunset makes me feel good. I also love watching the rain from my balcony. You can also try this. If you have a lawn or jogging track inside your society then nothing like it. Of course, you have to follow the rules of wearing a mask and social distancing.
So, to summarize, we still have many days ahead to stay at home. So, try these tips to overcome your boredom.
