Hello people what's upppu...! Welcome to my blog once again if you forgot to read my previous blog click here to visit. I'm going to write about Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan in the Asia Cup finals and took home the trophy.
Sri Lanka lift the Asia Cup Trophy
What a comeback, what a victory. Although they couldn't host the competition there, they made sure to return the trophy. Pakistan was dismissed for 147 runs in 20 overs! Despite the fact that Hasaranga and Rajapaksa had a sensational sixth wicket combination that helped Sri Lanka reach 170 and won the game under pressure, Madushan finished with four wickets and Hasaranga with three.
Since April 2014, Sri Lanka hasn't won five straight T20 International matches.
Hasaranga picks three in his final over
Although Pakistan had done well to score 25 runs off of his first three overs, a game-changing performance is delivered in the fourth. Like he hadn't accomplished much already. In that over, Rizwan (55 off 49), Asif Ali, and Khushdil Shah all lost their wickets. To their credit, the fielders took all of the catches that were thrown their way, which is not typically the case in Dubai's "Ring of Fire" stadium.
Double attacks from Madushan
Sri Lanka has found a hero in Madushan, who takes Babar and Fakhar off consecutive deliveries to help SL gain the upper hand following a 12-run opening over that was packed with wides (and swing). Babar initially flicks one straight to short fine before Zaman chops on, making it six straight T20I games without a fifty for him.
Rajapaksa 71* fires Sri Lanka to 170
Oh T20, you lovely one. This is a recovery, indeed. In just nine overs, Sri Lanka was at a dismal 58/5, but Hasaranga and Rajapaksa sprang into action, scoring 58 runs for the sixth wicket. Rajapaksa continued to play his shots despite Hasaranga's fall, assisting SL in adding 53/0 in the final five overs.
Conclusion of a counterattacking blow
from none other than Hasaranga. 36 off 21. He struck the pacer for two fours before edge one to the keeper while being aggressive against Shadab, Hasnain, and now Rauf once more. But what this wicket has done is energise the game. It was all Pakistan up until the ninth over.
Sri Lanka five down.
...and we are yet in the ninth over. Dhananjaya de Silva, the finest batsman in Sri Lanka right now, is first eliminated by Iftikhar Ahmed with a superb reflex catch off his own bowling. Shadab Khan then comes over and puts Shanaka to work, breaching his defences.
