Prithviraj Sukumaran:
With the release of Aiyyaa in 2012, Prithviraj Sukumaran's ability was first made known to Hindi film fans. He subsequently appeared in the movies Aurangzeb from 2013 and Naam Shabana from 2017, but it was only with the increase in the popularity of regional content that he became well-known. His production firm, Prithviraj Productions, has been responsible for successful movies including 9, which debuted in 2019, and Lucifer, which he also directed. The Malayalam film Lucifer broke box office records and was popular among OTT viewers. He had another great hit with Jana Gana Mana in 2022, but it wasn't until Saregama India Ltd.'s Kaapa, a murder drama, that he fully established himself as a pan-Indian powerhouse.
Asif Ali:
Audiences throughout the nation stood up to take note of this understated yet potent actor in 2021 when the Malayalam film "Kuttavum Shikshayum" became popular on a streaming site. Actor Asif Ali has straddled the line between box office successes and critically praised films like the 2012 period drama Ozhimuri since his well-received debut in 2009's Ritu. Fans are looking forward to the 2023 release of his movie Kasargold, which Yoodlee Films claims will be yet another slow-burning crime tale.
Allu Arjun
Pushpa - The Rise, the biggest grossing Indian movie of the year, helped Telugu sensation Allu Arjun gain recognition on a national scale in 2021. It was also one of the most successful Telugu movies ever. He has firmly emerged from behind the shadows of his uncle, the superstar Chiranjeevi, and his producer father, Allu Aravind. In the widely anticipated sequel Pushpa - The Rule this year, Allu Arjun will co-star with Rashmika Mandanna.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu:
India stood up and took notice in 2021 when Samantha Ruth Prabhu played the fierce adversary Raji, a rebel leader from the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, in the second season of Prime Video's Hindi spy thriller The Family Man. Samantha is now a recognised performer on the national stage thanks to regional hits including her debut Ye Maaya Chesave, Eega, Kaththi, Dookudu, Mersal, Majili, and the highly praised Super Deluxe. Samantha's cameo in Pushpa - The Rise drove the audiences into a frenzy. She will play the titular character in the opulent historical drama Shaakuntalam this year.
Tamannaah Bhatia:
Despite the failure of her early Hindi films like Chand Sa Roshan Chehra and Himmatwala, Tamannaah rose to fame with the Baahubali series. Even in these two mostly testosterone-driven films, which were dominated by Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, she stood out thanks to her martial arts prowess, command of the screen, and unmistakable brilliance. Tamanna is getting ready to ring in 2023 with Bhola Shankar, a remake of the Tamil film Vedalam starring Chiranjeevi and Keerthi Suresh. Tamanna has worked extensively in the regional market with celebrities like Surya in Ayan, Ajith Kumar in Veeram, and Vikram in Sketch.
