Being a Homeopathic Physician I had gone through these questions about a thousand times i guess. And everytime i realized how lack of information could generate so many myths. I find this a duty of mine to enhance a little knowledge of common people about homeopathy.
Starting with the commonest myth of all…
Myth: Homeopathic medicine are slow in action.
Truth: The time taken for the restoration of health during any treatment of disease is directly proportional to the duration of disease.
However long has the disease covered its time in affecting your body corresponds to time taken in reverting those harmful effects back to normal. That's why when you approach a homeopathic physician for any acute disease, the symptoms may vanish away in hours or a day or two. And when you start your homeopathic treatment for any chronic problem, it may take a while to attain the normal state of health.
Myth: Homeopathic medicines work better in liquid dilutions than in globules.
Truth: Action of homeopathic medicines doesn't depend upon the mode or medium of taking medicine. But it definitely depends upon the repetition of doses and potency of the medicine.
So, next time when you take any homeopathic medicine, do remember to take your doses as advised and also do not worry about the action of the because it works equally in globules and liquid.
Myth: Homeopathy works only in Chronic cases
Truth: For this one i can only say that this misconception is in the mind of those people who have never opted for Homeopathic treatment in acute problems. Homeopathy works equally great in both acute and chronic cases. Homeopathy tends to work in cases of from ‘C’ to ‘C’ i.e. from cold to cancer.
So, next time you may catch cold, try go for homeopathy and avoid suppressing your immunity by taking too much anti-biotics.
Myth: You cannot take Allopathic or Ayurvedic medicines along with Homeopathic treatment.
Truth: There is no problem at all in taking any other mode of treatment along with Homeopathic treatment. All you have to take care about is to maintain a slight time difference of half to one hour while taking any other medicine before or after homeopathic medicine.
Myth: Too many food restrictions followed while taking homeopathic medicines.
Truth: There are not much food restrictions along with homeopathic treatment just the important ones like avoiding sugar in cases of Diabetes Mellitus, or fat and oil in cases of liver complaints and obesity, etc.
Rest restrictions are asked for avoiding too much alcohol or tobacco consumption that might be equally harmful while you are taking any mode of medicine for your illness.
