I was alway the aloof one in the family, daydreaming, being silent most of the time, being alone was one of my favorite thing to do. I lived in a big family with a lot of people who had different personalities, but I never connected with anyone accept my brother.
My brother was just like me but still more active with family than me, we would watch movies and series together and debate about what ifs and about the decision that the protagonists made.
I like to convert those what ifs in my own version of stories, I never shared those stories to anyone, not even my brother. I felt like that was my world, my space that should not be traveled by anyone but me and also I was not confident.
But as they say, you can't hide anything from your family, my brother found my notebook where I wrote those not so interesting plots.
“Why are you hiding these, they are so interesting, you should show the world, why hide sis?” He said to me after reading those plots.
I looked down on my lap, we were sitting on the couch in my bedroom, the laptop was in front of us with the movie paused, as I went for pee break. That is when he found my book.
We never watch movies in my room, it was his room as he has his television where we can connect the laptop and watch movies on big screen. But today his television was not working and so was the air-condition, so we had no other choice but to watch movie in my room.
I didn't knew he would go through my personal belongings, but here we are now, what should I say to him, he was waiting patiently for my answer.
“I am not confident enough.” I said timidly while playing with my fingers.
“Well I have confidence in you, why don't you give it a try, atleast once.” I looked at him and he had so much conviction in his eyes that I was reluctant to say no to him.
I gave in to his request and posted my first story in an online platform where you can publish stories.
The response was overwhelming and from that day I an aloof girl was a writer who had many ravellers in her world she created. The travellers mostly seeked happy ending when they entered her world of different stories and she gave them those most of the time.
