- KONARK SUN TEMPLE: Constructed in 1255 CE ,the temple is located in Konark,India.This temple is designed as chariot with twenty four wheels pulled by seven horses. Part of the temple structure collapsed or was destroyed in the seventeenth century CE.It is believed that the collapsed structure had a fifty two ton magnet at the top. This magnet caused the main statue to hang in the air. The wheel of the temple are actually sundial means precise time can be calculated by the shadows cast by the spokes.
- Padmanabhaswamy temple:There is no exact date of origin of this temple. This temple is located in Thiruvananthapuram in kerela.It is the richest temple in the world. Gold and jewels worth dollar fifty two billion are stored in underground vault. Only five out of eight vaults have been opened till date. vault B in the temple is the most mysterious and remains unexplored .A chamber in the vault is sealed with an enormous iron door supposedly guarded by two massive painted cobras on it with no means of entry. It is claimed that the door can only be opened by a mystic chant and trying any other means would bring great misfortune.
- Brihadeshwar Temple:Constructed in 1010 CE this temple is located in Tanjore India.It is one of the largest temple in india. Approximately 1,30,000 tons of granite was used in the construction. This kumbam is carved from a single granite rock and it weighs about 80 tons. The Vimanam (temple apex structure tower) is 66 metres high. What remains mysterious about this temple is that how did workers 1000 years ago managed to lift a 80ton carved stone this High without any cranes or lifting machine.
- Varabhadra temple:Constructed in 1530 CE ,the temple is located in lepakshi. This temple has around seventy pillars supporting the roof. However one corner pillar in the hall does not rest on the ground.In 1910 CE a British engineer tried to uncover the secret of the hanging pillar.He managed to make a corner of the pillar touch the ground ,but instead he made ceiling to misalign.What keeps this pillar hanging from the top still remains a mystery. And there is the large footprint in stone in the temple which is three feet long.
