What is vending machine?

                                          A robotic device designed to offer customers a wide variety of goods, including pizza, cupcakes, newspapers, tickets, snacks, beverages, and other foods. Based on the quantity of money inserted and the goods chosen, a vending machine will dispense the consumer with a product. A conventional power supply connection is needed for a vending machine's continuous operation because it is stand-alone equipment. Simple electro-mechanical systems are used in it to help automate the entire vending operation. In a word, its fundamental purpose is to seamlessly provide customers with a wide selection of products at any time.

The Invention.

                                              The first person to introduce a contemporary vending machine that distributed postcards was Percival Everett in 1883. His vending machine quickly spread throughout the country and was placed in post offices and railway stations.

Why was the vending machine invented?

                                        Hero of Alexandria, a Roman engineer and mathematician, developed the first vending machine in the first century AD in Roman Egypt. So that the citizens of the city wouldn't steal a lot of the holy water from the temple, the vending machine was created to dispense a set quantity of it.

A entirely coin-operated eatery by the name of Horn & Hardart was established in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1902, and it remained in business until 1962.
