It's the 21st century and nothing wrong to have knowledge about this stuff. I'm a medico and see people who are completely unaware of such things and face severe clinical conditions.

WHY SO?                                                                                                              All the flavoured condoms have sweetener agents which are responsible to alter the PH value of the vagina. The other reason is there may be the transmission of oral infection such as candidiasis.

WHAT TO DO?                                                                                                          It is a must to change the flavoured ones with non-flavoured ones. Even for the anal orifice also maintain different condoms though unflavoured.

IF NOT WHAT HAPPENS?                                                                                      It causes vaginal irritation first, which may lead to several clinical conditions such as Vaginitis, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, Vaginal candidiasis etc. Ultimately leads to Infertility.

*VAGINITIS:- It is the inflammation of the vagina that can result in discharge, itching and pain. The cause is usually a change in the normal balance of vaginal bacteria. Reduced oestrogen levels after menopause and several skin disorders also result in vaginitis.

*PELVIC INFLAMMATORY DISEASE (PID):- It is an infection of female reproductive organs, that usually occurs when sexually transmitted bacteria spread from the vagina to the uterus, fallopian tubes or ovaries. Clinical features include - Pain in the lower abdomen, fever, an unusual discharge from the vagina with a bad odour, burning micturition and bleeding per vagina between periods.

*VAGINAL CANDIDIASIS:- It is also known as candidal vulvovaginitis or Vaginal yeast infection. It is a yeast infection of the vagina and tissues surrounding the vaginal orifice. It is caused by the fungus candida. Clinical features include - Inflammation, Intense itching, thick white discharge from the vagina.

There are several other clinical conditions resulting from this, which makes it difficult for the women to conceive. Resulting in infertility problems.

WHAT TO DO AFTER THE INFECTION HAS DEVELOPED?                               On a management basis as I told earlier use only unflavoured ones. Later visit a doctor if the symptoms persist after several days. Don't hide anything in front of the doctor. 

People are not really truthful even in front of a doctor, the more you be truthful, the quick the management therapy can be suggested. Unless the fundamental cause is known even we can't treat a case. Only when the obstacle is removed, recovery is promised.
