Everyone does like complements and I agree they give the boost when we are starting something new but it doesn't help when you only work for those compliments. People who starve for compliments are easily manipulated by their superiors. How does this happen? What it leads to?
We can easily get addicted to compliments. When we completely focus ourselves on getting the compliments rather than focussing on our growth we may fall into a loophole. Complements at the beginning of our work are really appreciated but we shouldn't get dependent on them. Once we get into that trap we are under the control of that person rather than of our own minds.
Always remember one thing, we are good at something only because we know how to do it and you don't need any validation from others for this. You can do the best you can, so don't need to strive for other people's opinions on it.
One thing I want to mention here is that just receive compliments as gratitude towards your own work but never ever rely on them every time. You truly know what you are good at and what you are bad at. Just analyze your strengths and weakness and accept them.
“Strengths to be appreciated and weaknesses to be worked on”.
Get this point straight into your mind, “NO ONE IS PERFECT AND EVERYONE HAS THEIR WEAKNESS”. You may be good at something that your superior is not, so don't treat your superiors to be gods just do your thing.
Hard work is good but without analyzing whether you are growing by doing this is a bad idea. Always analyze your growth day today.
You don't need any validation from anyone to say that your work is great.
My dear, you are giving your best in life and always remember to check two things about yourself before going to bed i.e, whether you have learnt something new today and also whether you have improved yesterday's you to today's you.
So my dear champs, you are the best version of yourself and don't make stuff difficult by comparing with others. YOU ARE ONLY YOUR COMPETITION. So keep smiling and spread kindness :)
