How Can We Combat Fear?

There is a prison where the number of inmates is in the billions. It's a prison devoid of all physical defences, like walls, barbed wire, guards, and barriers. But it is also the world's most efficient prison. The few who do attain true and long-lasting independence.

Our minds are in that jail. It is a cage that prevents us from acting on our own initiative, using our talents, expressing ourselves, and, most importantly, from realising our entire potential as people.

Fear is the jail here. More than we realise, fear governs our lives today. Fear dictates our decisions, actions, routines, and even our futures. In its numerous manifestations, fear has evolved into one of the biggest challenges to humanity in modern times. The greatest source of dread in the world now is terrorism. Recent global events have demonstrated how fear may cause even the most powerful people to act irrationally and cruelly. However, the impact of fear on our daily lives is more detrimental than anything a terrorist could ever hope to do. Most of us are prevented from living by fear of life.

dread of dying? Yes. "Too many individuals focus on security rather than opportunity. They appear to fear life more than death. James F. Bymes was the one who made this observation.

The Various Manifestations of Dread.

At its worst, fear in our daily lives can lead to anxiety and phobias. The prison of fear can appear to some people as a death sentence. Fear may have complete influence over their lives, rendering daily duties difficult and life completely unenjoyable. Fortunately, this is not how fear typically manifests itself. We have learned to accept the more harmful form of dread because it is so prevalent.

Fear can Prevent You from Moving Forward.

Some of you out there have great business concepts. You are constrained by your fear. You consider all the statistics regarding the number of firms that fail each year or what your friends and family will think of you if you leave your job to pursue your dreams. You are held back by your fears of not being able to pay your expenses, being fired, having to start over, and not having a job title. Fear is what keeps most of us in occupations we don't like and, in some cases, that don't even provide for our basic requirements.

Only Fear Itself Needs to be Feared.

You have probably experienced times in the past when you were truly afraid of something. How did it make you feel afterward? Silly? Stupid? That wasn't that hard after all is a common feeling. I'm not sure what I was scared about. Fighting fear is similar to fighting the dark. You cannot succeed. Bringing in light is the only way to banish the gloom. Defeating your worries is the only way to get rid of them. The quickest and surest method yet found to overcome fear is to "do the thing you fear to do and keep on doing it."

Today is the Day that You can Accomplish It.

Start the business you've always wanted to. Study what you genuinely want to study, go forward. Go ahead and pursue your dreams of becoming a singer, poet, artist, fashion designer, or anything else. You might fail, yes, but you might also succeed. Today, take the chance and face your worries. Would you like to reflect on the past in the future and think, "I could have, I might have, and I should have." That is a depressing way to live.

The Futility of Being Cautious.

No matter how "safe" you play it, keep in mind that we are all doomed to the same fate. Death is that. You will perish whether you take a chance or not. What good, then, does it bring you to live a life that is far below your potential and to be bound by fear? Be wise with your life. Go for it and free your mind from stress and fear.

Conclusion.

You should only fear God, and nothing else. That ought to be reverence rather than a fear of terror. God has not given us the spirit of fear, but rather the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. Your fears will starve to death if you feed them with faith.
