Why Can Not We Just Express Our Feelings...?

Hi Everyone,

This is my first blog, I hope you like it. So I thought of writing this blog on a thought which is stuck in my head for a long time.

Whenever someone asks me "How are you", without even thinking for a second I say “I am good” even when I am not fine at that moment and I feel this is the case for almost everyone. Why cannot we just tell that person that we are not fine and just talk to that person for few minutes wholeheartedly? I am pretty much sure the other person is genuinely asking us how are we doing (Of course I am not telling about official talk there it is up to the individual choice). We do not like to make others feel bad or we do not want to spoil their mood so we do not tell them but telling friends your feelings and problems will only solve them for you. And your friends will be more than happy to help you. Sharing and communicating will only strengthen the bond and make you feel better. And if sharing your problems with your friends makes you more sad then you should definitely think about are they really your friends.

So let us try and start from today, whenever some close friend or relative asks us "How are you" we will be honest to ourselves and tell that person how we actually feel. This will surely make you feel better and relieved. Being alone and keeping things to yourself will only make the situation worse. So let us make our feelings and health priority. First we should be truthful to ourselves and admit what we are actually feeling and then we should work on it. No matter what it takes we should take the initiative and make ourselves happy. It is not necessary you should share everything with everyone, with whoever feel comfortable with you can share. Just try to at least talk to your friends and relatives. Our genuine friends will surely want to help us with our problems or low moments. I guess that is for what friends are.

Hope this helps and at least some of you will actually give a thought about this next time when someone asks you, how are you and this will mean a lot to me

Please provide honest feedback. 😊

Stay safe and Have a great day !!
