Hello bloggers. Welcome to another blog of mine in this blog I am going to talk about Madhubani Art which is named after a district with the same name in the state of Bihar. There are various tools used in this form of art such as twigs, brushes, nip pens, Matchstick, etc. these forms of paintings are widely made on occasions like birth, marriage, and festivals such as Holi and Durga Puja.
These paintings are widely popular in the region. Initially, the style of painting was plastered on mud walls and floors of a hut but the art has now also reached clothes as embroidery that enhances the beauty of the fabric and handmade paper also used.
These paintings are made with powdered rice.
And the form of art mostly depicts the people and their association with nature and its important part as the sun, the moon, and the religious plant-like tulsi, and also depict scenes of the royal court in such type of painting there no space is left empty and filled with the plant. Flowers, animals, birds, and geographical designs are also used.
Accept that kinds of colors are made from natural resources like turmeric. Indigo and sandalwood are used in the painting making the painting more special and attractive another highlight of these colors is that they are made themselves
And all above that the Madhubani form of art also received official recognition in the year 1969 when a fine painter Sita Devi received a state award and two other painters named Mamta Devi and Jagdamba Devi received a national award for their contribution to the art. Sita Devi also won prestigious awards like Padma Shree and Bharat Ratna respectively accept these there are a number of pioneers who received various awards for their contribution to the art.
The magic of Mithila art is only limited to India its fame went beyond all the borders and went to countries like Japan and Canada who used the art to decorate the trains
In fact, it may sound interesting the last year an initiative was taken by the Bihar Government when a whole railway station was decorated with Madhubani or Mithila style art.
Looking at the response to their initiative the government also tried this concept in some trains as well like the Patna Rajdhani Express in which the popular form of art is used in more than 20 coaches.
So that is all from me on this blog see you all in the next blog then keep reading. Keep supporting
