Hello friends, welcome back to a new blog of mine since today is the 5th of September Teachers Day marks the birth anniversary of Servepalli Radhakrishnan born on 5th September 1888 in Tiruttani District of Madras his parent’s name was Sevapalli Veeraswami and Sita. Radhakrishnan has done his primary schooling at a local school in his village and completed his schooling in the year 1886 in the journey of his education he won a number of awards and of also had a deep interest in fine arts and he also studied fine arts by chance rather than choice and later he moved to Madras Christian Collage for his Graduation and Post Graduation in favorite subject Philosophy,,
After completing his Masters’s degree he works as an Assistant Lecturer in Madras Presidency college.
He also mastered the Hindu philosophy that covers Hindu texts like Upanishads, Bhagwad Gita, and many more, and not just the Hindu religion he also has a keen interest in Jain and Buddhist Philosophy.
He got global recognition when he got an invitation from Oxford University to deliver a lecture on Hindu philosophy and his lectures were used to develop a course on India’s freedom it was the year 1931 when he got elected as the Vice Chancellor of the Andhera university. 8 years later in 1939 Radhakrishnan become the vice chancellor of the Banaras Hindu University it was the year 1946 when he got elected as the brand ambassador of UNESCO and three years later in 1949 he got an opportunity as an ambassador of the Soviet Union for which he not work as ambassador but also played a vital part of its growth 3 years later in 1952 he got appoint as the vice president of Independent India twice and he works as Vice President for a decade before electing as the second president of India after Rajendra Prasad in the meantime he continued to achieve one of his major achievements were winning the highest civilian award Bharat Ratna in the year 1954 but 8 years later in the year 1962 he got elected for the highest position of the country the president during his tenure India fought wars with countries like China and Pakistan after completing a 5 years tenure he got retired from the position 1967 and he got settled down in Madras where he died of a heart attack in 1975 at the age of 87.
