Hello, welcome back to another birthday blog of mine but this time from the world of cricket our own champion Virat Kohli who will be 34 today(Born on5th November 1988) every one of us knows that this year on his birthday he is in Australia for the T20 World Cup like every Indian I also want to bring him the Trophy and make every Indian proud.
Like every achiever, he has to do a lot of hard work he started his career in 2002-03 by playing domestic cricket in Delhi
He made his domestic debut in Polly Umrigar Trophy in 2002-3 when he was promoted to captain in 2003-4 it marked his entry into the Under 17 team for the Vijay Merchant Trophy not only he performed well and also led his team to capture the trophy also as a batsman won “Man of the tournament” by scoring 757 runs
After he made his first-class debut in 2006 against Tamil Nadu where he scored just 10 runs but by the of the year he shifted to Karnataka
It was July 2006 when he got selected for the Under 19 team for the series against England and Pakistan when he maintained an average of 42 this young talented player has shifted himself to shorter and become the highest run-getter in Inter-State T20 Championship
His next and biggest turnaround came in 2007 the year in which he captained the Under 19 champion Team this was the time when he knocked on the doors of International cricket and he finally got the chance in the 2008 series against Sri Lanka in which he played the 8 lists A matches and Champions Trophy in Pakistan before having a shoulder Injury and made his comeback in 2009 series against Sri Lanka
Well, I don’t think his whole career and cricket journey can be defined in a single article so I would like to change the topic to his awards and achievements he got selected as ICC player of the decade (2011-2020), ICC player of the year, ICC Test player of the Year and if talk about the awards he won many national honors like Arjuna Award in 2013, Padma Shree in 2017 and Rajeev Gandhi Khel Ratna Award in 2018 he also got his name in the list of Forbes magazine for the highest paid athlete in the world.
