Hello friends, Today I am dedicating this blog to Mahatma Gandhi “Father of the nation” whose 152nd birthday is today. Born and bought up in Porbandar in the state of Gujrat. His father Karamchand Gandhi was a dewan of Porbandar state and his Putlibai had a profound influence on him , Later his family got shifted to Rajkot where he did his schooling he got married at the age of 13 to Kasturba Gandhi who was a year older than him. He did his LAW from London and practice in South Africa this was a time when he got the name of Mahatma. In the year 1920 he got elected as the president of Indian National Congress. One of the two major movements of his life is Dandi March in 1930 and Quit India Movement in 1942 . Dandi March was 24 day campaign . It sparked large scale violation Act was considered disobedience ageist the salt act this was a reason he started Dandi March with his 78 volanters in w hich he walked around 400 km, this leads to his arrest. This Dandi march was a movement who leid foundation of India’ s Independence. This Satyagraha was completely based Gandiji’s principle of non violence till 1930 this Satyagraha had become has become main weapen for winning India’s independence accept this he had three monkeys according to which a should don’t listen bad, don’t speak bad and don’t hear bad accept this he also work for untouchables and permoting hand springs for poor and because of his contribution a number of poor untouchalbles got their rights accept tthis Gandiji’s was a strically against drinking ancohol and eating non vegetarian food he believe that to kill and eat an innocent in purely unethical and we should not do it. He was a pioneer of truth he believe that we should not lie to anyone seeing this contribution of him the greatest poet of all time Rabindrenath Tegore gave him the name of Mahatma (means Great Soul) Gandiji’s fondly called the Fathe of the Nation because of his contribution places like garden etc are decorated with national flags. The celebration of Gandhi Jayanti is not only limited to india but also celebrated in countries like UK ,USA and many other parts of the globe so this blog is a small way of remembering him on this special day he will always remain in our hearts
