A Blog About The Famous Festival Of Assam

Hi everyone, welcome to a new blog friends 2nd December is celebrated as the Asom Divas in Assam the festival is also known as Sukapha 

Started celebrating in 1996 with the objective of welcoming the first Ahom King Sukapha from the Ahom kingdom of Assam who was considered the messenger of God. The popular festival has a long history there is a belief that the Ahom dynasty was formed by Chaolung Sukapha who was the prince of the Taj state of Moong Mao which is currently located in China 

According to a belief, the cousin of the King was not ready to give away his throne due to which lots of obstruction was created. A small family dispute made the king go Patkai Mountains of Assam when the back from the mountains his welcome become the foundation date of the Ahom kingdom as soon as they started treating king Sukhapa as their God who led this kingdom with bravery and courage since then the day is dedicated to honoring the legacy of the king that highlight the various aspects of Assamese culture   including link folk dances like Bihu and Bhortal dances performed by the local artist 

The function also includes an award ceremony given state government to prominent personalities this day reminds us of the period of 1215 which is believed to be a period of the Ahom dynasty 

First celebrated in 1996 the day is marked as a public holiday in the state to celebrate the boldness, courage, and bravery of their leader a brave and bold leader who played a vital role in unifying the various cultural groups in the state. 

Captured many local tribes in the state  but he was smart enough he had captured will outnumber the Ahom, in fact, Sukhama ruled the kingdom for more than six decades when people live a lifestyle where Agriculture  was the main way of earning living farmers engage themselves in the cultivation of crops like Jute, pulses, and tea 

The Ahom age is a period where ornaments and jewelry has,has many different types 

People of the Ahom dynasty have a keen interest in planting tea in fact, it is the effort of these people due to which Assam is able to contribute 15 percent to world tea output 

 So this way to tell to tribute Ahom one of the oldest dynasties who had ruled the state of Assam for more than 600 years
