Rebecca jumped out of her bed on hearing what Venice said. Venice: “Rebecca I had to tell you this but thought you would be busy celebrating. I didn't want to startle you. But Daniel is back. I got a call from an unknown number on this Tuesday. He asked me for your address which I didn't give him but yes unknowingly I told him where you are working presently. Just wanted to let you know.” After few seconds of silence Rebecca spoke, “He was here. I didn't recognize him. I didn't let him in and asked him to go away, I shut my door on his face. But after all these years why is he back? Where was he when I needed him the most? All my calls, all my messages everything went into vain. He didn't even bother to give me a reason for leaving. He just vanished. And now he is here as if nothing happened." Venice: “I know Rebecca how hard that time was for you, and I am sorry but I panicked when he called. I just ran out of words on hearing his name. But tell me should I come to you? You don't have to be all alone in this.” Rebecca had loved her cousin more than anything. They have shared their childhood, adolescence, their every secret, they were each other's best friend. So without sparing a moment Rebecca asked Venice to visit her.

Next morning Rebecca was awaiting Venice's arrival along with getting ready for her office. She was excited to meet her cousin, also had not recovered completely from the shock that she went through last night on seeing Daniel at her doorstep. But she had to continue with the day. She messaged Venice that she is leaving for office and she will see her at the airport. She opened the door to leave and to her shock Daniel was still there, in the same clothes, with cake and the same bouquet of roses sitting in the corner of her door. He never left. Rebecca panicked. Daniel saw her and with a wide smile greeted her good morning. “Hi my love! Good morning! You look beautiful!" “What are you doing here Daniel? I had asked you to leave, then why are you here?” questioned Rebecca. “Oh so you have recognized me finally. Look Rebecca I know whatever I did was wrong and it couldn't be forgiven. But you have to listen to my side also. There was a reason I had to leave. I loved you more than anything in the world and I still do. Nothing has changed from my end. But for once calm down and listen to me.” “Calm down? Daniel you left when we were 16, we have played together. You, me and Venice we three were friends. We were neighbors Daniel. We had been together since we were four. And one day you express your love to me as you also knew I had always loved you. Then after two years you leave? You just left Daniel. No calls, no messages, no mails. You left me wondering where did everything go wrong. But now you have the courage to stand up at my door after 8 years to tell me you still love me? Shame on you Daniel" said Rebecca while covering her sobs.

Daniel kept pleading Rebecca to listen to him. But Rebecca was angry and adamant enough to not let her misery go in vain. She wanted Daniel to feel the same way she had felt 8 years ago. According to her she had came out of her dark place all by herself and Venice now she is not going to go into the same place. Daniel kept asking for forgiveness but Rebecca wiped her tears and told him to go back to wherever he came from. “Rebecca you have to listen to me. Please let us sit and talk. Understand please"…( will be continued in part three)
