Hi! I avoid writing on relationships and all because I find such topics very cliched but I have so much to talk about this particular topic today that I couldn't resist from writing on it. Now when I say relationship it's not just about the relationship that we share with our partner. It's about the bond that we have with everyone close to our hearts. Our parents, our siblings, our cousins, our friends and whomever you feel attached to. Love at times can be a one sided feeling. It's not at all important that the intensity you love someone with they will reciprocate your love the same way. At times it will not be reciprocated at all. Then what do we do? We can't force anyone to love us back. We can't force our parents to choose us as their favorite child, we can't force our friends to choose us as their best friends. In such situations always try to be the bigger person. Give out love without expecting the same in return and to a limit where you are not being used.
Now if you are lucky enough to get the same love in return then how do you maintain that bond? The answer to this is by maintaining the trust. Trust is an indispensable element of every relationship. You trust your parents with the big decisions of your life, you trust your friends because you know when you will be in need they will be there, when this doesn't happen then automatically your trust is broken, with trust comes expectations. And in the end everybody tells you not to expect anything from anyone. How is that possible? That's some basic human nature. In a relationship if you ask your partner to trust you then you also have to maintain that trust. If you hide things, pass on sneaky messages then how is one supposed to trust you?
Life can be really easy if we do not try to complicate it. If you know how to take then learn to give also. If you want to be trusted then learn to trust too. Trust can take long to build up but can shatter down in a snap of fingers. Also they say there are plenty of fishes in the sea, trust me most of them are not worth catching. Ego will not take you anywhere, the world needs compassion, humanity needs to be trusted. Trust is important everywhere.
