Life Is Difficult With Asian Parents

In this blog today I have chosen a very debatable and risky topic and this is because I believe this is a safe place to share what we feel. So I felt life is difficult with Asian parents because of the highly set expectations and also the absurd standards that the parents set. In here I am talking particularly about Indian parents. Now in most of the families I have seen there is a fear of the parents, especially of father. One thing goes wrong and all you will be thinking of is how will you deal with your father. And this according to me is so brutal. Let's be honest no baby comes to the earth willingly. No baby knocks at the door of their parents or pleads to give them birth or take them in. All I am saying is the parents decide to have a child then why do they expect that their child will get spoiled if given love. Whereas love is the only precious thing that they can give their children abundantly. From where does this concept come of inculcating fear? The concept of telling children that their parents are doing favors on them by sending them to school? A general question if I may ask- When a son sends his parents to old age home then he is a bad son, which he is I agree but what when parents leave their children in orphanage? There the children are not even aware of who their parents are. In every scenario why only a child is wrong?

Secondly I have seen that until and unless you secure a government job in this country you will not be respected. No matter how educated you are, no matter if you are the CEO earning in lakhs per month still you will earn the real respect if you have a government job. And this pressure really kills the child. Why can't we let our child become whatever they want to? What does it take to support our child? What does it take to love our child? And if you are a girl no matter how much you think you are treated equally, there will be a point you will be told that after all you are a girl and you ultimate aim should be to get married. I am full of such examples but don't want to add length to this blog. If you understand what I am trying to say then please let me know in the comments also if you don't then too please let me know.
