We as students enjoyed every bit of our school life. Be it meeting friends at a point and then going school together. Or calling each other and asking if the person is going then only we will go. Liking a classmate and then thinking each day to confess it but lacking the courage. The friendships, the respect for teachers, the hard work and passion to study all of this is now a gone story. In today's time social media has taken over. Teachers now are also aware of the social media and are a part of it too. Social media is a revolution, everybody wants to be liked irrespective of their age. So apart from daily routine now people suffer from the fear of missing out. Be it a student or a teacher. Now personal comments can be made on a child based on their choice of post. Students can judge their teachers by their social media. A teacher can be contacted easily through Instagram or Facebook. Contact no. is not required. The respect has diminished because now somehow we are a part of their personal lives too. And when things pace up to personal from professional we find it hard to determine the respect .
To keep a child safe and sound parents tend to keep their child away from social media resulting in the stubbornness of the child. Because he/she sees his/her friends living their lives and enjoying. Everybody wants to enjoy every second of their lives. And when you snatch away that life deliberately though whatever may be the intentions it always causes rifts. These days kids study to clear their classes soon and buy a phone. Because in majority of middle class households it still is a practice that a child will get a smartphone once he clears his class 12th. So instead of enjoying their school life which again is pressure for them they try to clear it as soon as possible. I have seen kids with zero interest in any subject. A class 2nd's student tell me that he studying only because his father tells him that a scientist gets a handsome salary , so he has to become a scientist. One may find nothing wrong with this sentence but I see it as a bait. One has to study because he has to earn good money not because he wants to be a scientist but because scientists earn good money so he has to be one. Will that kid ever remember what he is studying? But he will always remember why is he studying because money is the driving force here.
