Featuring Zoey Deutch, Kendrick Sampson, Ray Nicholson, Shay Mitchell, and director Daryl Wein, Something from Tiffany's is an American romantic comedy film set in the Christmas season of 2022. Tamara Chestna wrote the screenplay. It is based on Melissa Hill's book of the same name.
On December 9, 2022, Something from Tiffany's was made available on Prime Video by Amazon Studios.
Rachel discovers a ring box among her lover Gary's possessions after he was struck by a car outside a Tiffany's store and believes he wants to wed her. She is unaware, though, that Ethan, one of the men who gave him first aid, is the owner of the box. Ethan now has the package that Gary purchased, which contains the Tiffany earrings.
As a thank you for assisting her boyfriend, Rachel extends an invitation to Ethan to visit her bakery. The two get along just fine.
Both guys give their Tiffany presents at Christmas. Despite knowing the mistake, Ethan keeps quiet since he thinks Vanessa, his girlfriend, looks good with the earrings. Due to his amnesia after the accident, Gary approaches Rachel with a proposal, believing he purchased the ring.
In an attempt to see Gary the following day, Ethan brings the ring so he can ask Vanessa to marry him. Rachel waits on him, but Gary is stalled at work, so the entire evening is spent with Rachel.
Gary declines to give back the ring the following day. The salesperson at Tiffany's tells Rachel that she made the transaction and gives a description of the man who purchased the ring when Rachel goes there to ask for cleaning tips. From the description, Rachel recognizes Ethan and knows what has to have happened. When Rachel confronts Gary, he says he knew the ring wasn't his, but he still went through with the proposal because he wanted to marry her. At their bakery, Rachel greets Ethan and assures him that Gary will return the ring.
It is revealed on New Year's Eve that Rachel met Gary while he was heading to a hook-up. She ends their relationship. Vanessa and Ethan arrive at the same time.
When Vanessa finds out that Ethan has been lying to her, she gets outraged. They decide to split up after realizing during their disagreement that they have different aspirations for the future.
After they first kiss, Ethan and Rachel begin dating. Ethan asks her to marry him on Christmas Eve of the next year using the ring that she misplaced the year before.
Review:
I don't usually choose to watch romance films as my first genre. Still, I couldn't help but notice how strikingly similar this movie's title was to "Breakfast at Tiffany's." After perusing the film's synopsis and observing its nearly flawless rating, I couldn't resist watching it. It's a tearjerker, not just your average clichéd romantic movie. You'll be thoroughly entertained by the mixture of ups and downs, mystery, and a hint of suspense. It's a great movie, especially considering its 88 minutes. "Something From Tiffany's" is unique; it has a cozy, homey vibe.
