Many Indians utilize UPI (Unified Payments Interface) for a variety of uses. In India, it's one of the digital payments with the quickest growth. It is used to send and receive money around-the-clock, and customers are drawn to it since it is accessible, convenient, and easy to use. Although there are numerous players, we focused on two in particular to conduct our investigation. Major participants in the digital payment space, Google Pay and Paytm provide consumers platforms that enable daily transactions to be completed in a matter of minutes. Thus, according to our survey, Ahmedabad's population is drawn to it and gets habituated to it every day. The purpose of this study is to find out Ahmedabad consumers' preferences and what motivates them to choose between these two well-known applications for daily transactions, recharges, ticket purchases, etc. Ahmedabad residents find it easy to use digital payments for everyday transactions such as ordering food, shopping, and paying for goods and services without using real cash, which saves time and has several advantages. On their respective apps, each player offers fantastic functionality.

Through our study, we are able to learn more about the factors that influence Ahmedabad residents' decisions between Google Pay and Paytm, including ease of use, features, security, policies, promotions and cashbacks, bill payment, infrequent offers, and shopping. Digital payments give Ahmedabad residents security so they can use them without fear of being conned. They also give them access to transaction histories, which allow users to track how much they spend each day or month and how wisely they use their money going forward. A person's transaction history is securely stored and is the simplest way to track their income and expenses. We use primary data for surveys, which comes directly from individuals through observation, questionnaires, action research, interviews, case studies, and more.

Google Pay is an online payment system and digital wallet platform that allows users to make payments with their Android watches, tablets, and phones through tap-to-pay and power-in-app purchases on mobile devices. The autofill feature in Google Chrome was rebranded by it. Through its in-store, peer-to-peer, and online payment services, Google Pay incorporates the functionalities of both Android Pay and Google Wallet.
Near Field Communication (NFC) is a technology used by Google Pay to send card information and enable money transfers to the shop.By enabling users to upload credit or debit cards into their Google Pay wallet, it takes the place of point-of-sale terminal chip and pin or magnetic stripe transactions. With the inclusion of two-factor verification, it is comparable to contactless payments, which are currently accepted in many nations. With the use of an NFC antenna, host-based card emulation (HCE), and Android security, the service enables wireless communication between Android devices and point of sale systems.
