Hi all…
I would like to write a chapter wise summary of this book Murder On Tyneside. It's been long since I started reading a book. After a lot of browsing and consideration, I came across this book , “ Murder On Tyneside” by Eileen Thornton.
I wanted to start of with a mystery. I have a few in my Checklist. To begin with, let's dive in to What actually happened in the Tyneside.
The Story starts with a widow, Agnes. She comes to Tyneside after decades. She walks through the place and thinks of her past as and when she sees this River Thyne. She feels happy that the city had changed a lot from what it was then. But, she feels sad for what she went through in life. She then feels on has to move on and not to think of the negative aspects of one's life. Her husband Jim was someone whom she missed the most, he supported her in every part of her life that she missed him everywhere. She lost him as he suffered from a rare type of cancer.
She goes back to her hotel room to refresh and get down for dinner. As she gets ready, she hears a lot of rumpus in the corridor. She initially wants to neglect the same. But she couldn't stop herself from listening to the conversation between a couple, George and Angela. It looks like as if Angela suspects someone to have stolen her expensive necklace, but George feels she must have dropped it somewhere by mistake. Angela forces him to take her to the management of the hotel to take this issue further. Meanwhile, Agnes keeps things running in her mind and goes down to have her dinner. She missed her husband Jim every moment she spent in the hotel room. The way he would take care of her. The way he would help her and so on… She never liked it then, but now she misses every single thing.
We tend to get irritated with our loved ones at times. For whatever reason it may be. We are not sure of what is to come to us. So, we must enjoy the moment. Most of us, even I don't get to follow this. By the time we realize it, it's too late. Too much of philosophy. That's not my Forte.
This is it for the 1st chapter.
Pass your comments and give my article a like. Feel free to share the books which you want me to summarize.
