Hi there! Hope you are doing good. Laptop is a kind of need for of us nowadays but most of us don't know that which one is good to buy. So, today i am here to tell you some tips that you must know before buying a laptop. So here we go……

Storage:

  • There are two types of storage- HDD and SSD.
  • SSD is two times faster than HDD in reading and writing data.
  • But SSD are expensive.
  • Best combination would be to have both.
  • SSD of 128 or 256 GB where all your applications and Windows OS is stored for fast performance.
  • HDD 1 or 2 Tb depending on your storage requirement.

Display Size:

  • You need to figure out just how portable you need your laptop to be.
  • 14 inch - easy to carry and lightweight.
  • 15.8 inch - standard size, perfect for the ones who use their laptop at one place and rarely carry out and is ideal for gaming and video editing.
  • Always prefer Full HD Display.

Processor:

  • Always go for Latest Generations Intel processor 100th or 11th generation they offer better performance.
  • If you have the budget prefer opting for latest generation rather than old generation i7.
  • Ryzen processor are little cheaper than intel but they get heated very fast.

Ram and Graphics Card:

  • 8 Gb Ram is the minimum requirement nowadays.
  • Go for 16 or 32 Gb Ram if you want for gaming or high end video editing or multitasking.
  • If you are not playing PC games, creating 3D objects or doing high-res video editing, an integrated graphics chip will be fine.
  • If you have any of the above needs, though, a discrete graphics processor from Nvidia or AMD is essential.

Other Features:

Windows Home or Pro? - Always go for Home Version, pro offers extra features such as remote desktop and group policy manager most of these extras are useful only for large businesses with IT departments.

Touchscreen Laptops are not preferred.

If you want a laptop with latest and greatest connectivity options, find one with Wi-Fi 6 support and Bluetooth 5.

10+ hours of battery life is ideal.

Ports like HDMI and Type C are a must.

So now if you or any of your friends is going to buy a laptop then must tell him/her about these points so that no purchasing mistake will be done by him/her.
