Gamification To Achieve Goals

I am going to start to start with a routine saying that life is like a game play it and win it. The main problem is we don't play our life to the fullest unlike we play video games with full engagement and involvement and we are missing the bigger game called life. The question is how gamification helps to achieve our most ambitious goals. The answer is here, for example consider a game called “SUPER MARIO” the most famous game which we have been playing for years the game teaches you lot of things which we can apply it in many areas of our life.

1)WE CONCENTRATE ON SAVING THE QUEEN NOTHING ELSE:

Here, our ultimate goal is to save the queen and in this process we don't care about failures we get up and try again and again to save the queen. it teaches you to “never give up”  irrespective of how many times we fail and teaches failure is just part of a life.

2) LEARNING FROM FAILURES : The beauty of gamification is it gives feedback every-time we fail. We learn something new every-time we fail and we apply what we learn from the failure to not to repeat it again. it teaches us to “correct mistakes so that we can go ahead in life”.

3) PERFECT FEEDBACK MECHANISM: it is difficult to achieve something without a proper guidance and feedback sometimes we don't know what to do to go ahead to overcome the speed breakers in games you will notice where you got exactly wrong ang gives you an opportunity to correct it in this process it saving your time. “it teaches us to importance of having mentor” to get a feedback and improve faster.

4) REWARD MECHANISM AND DOPAMINE EFFECT :

Do you know the reason why games are addictive? yes, it releases dopamine every-time you play so, what is dopamine, dopamine is a pleasure hormone it is released when brain expects a reward. When you come to associate a certain activity with pleasure, mere anticipation may be enough to raise dopamine levels that is why people are addicted to cigarette and drugs they stimulate release of dopamine and, this is the reason why we addicted to games every time we play a game designers try to reward you by giving coins , points , etc. when you cross each level there by releasing dopamine and giving you pleasure so that you crave for more. same concept can be applied in life “reward yourself with every smallest achievement you make ”and when you study reward yourself with something if you study a chapter so that you can use dopamine effect positively.
