All Fruits and vegetables are "superfoods"
You don't need going berries and quinoa. Start with what is local and seasonal.🧡
Fruits and vegetables’ vibrant colors tell the story of their “super powers.” You see, it’s their “phytonutrients,” or plant nutrients, that help us fight disease and stay stronger for longer.
Please note, obesity or weight gain didn't happen from eating too many mangoes or bananas.💛
Weight gain is a direct result of eating more calories than you burn.
The sugar debate !!! Really?
Fruits come with fiber that enable the body to process rhe natural sugar. Which is why I always say "eat your fruit". Don't juice it. I have done a post on this.
Any diet that cuts out fruit, is a red flag. Why ?💓
Fruits are superfoods. I recommend eating a variety. As many colours as you can. Eat local and seasonal.⭐
Why Fruits and vegetables ?
Why is it seen so much on many fitness programs and diet regimens as well ?
➡️They are alkaline producing, which can help to preserve bone mass and muscle tissue.
➡️They are rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, fibre, and phytonutrients.
➡️They contain lots of water to help you stay hydrated.
➡️Because fruits and vegetables have a high water and fibre content that supports gut health.
➡️High in antioxidants
➡️They reduce the risk of many diseases
⭐In short, more fruit and more vegetables gives in better health and better immunity.
Oh and for those who justify a lack of fruits & vegetables in their diet by taking a multivitamin — sorry, but supplementing individual vitamin intake, as opposed to actually eating the fruits and vegetables, does not provide the same benefits.💛
Please eat your fruits. If you are worried about your weight, forgo the processed food and desserts then, not fruit !!!💚
Not as part of the diet, but on a regular basis, intake of fruits and vegetables as a necessity. Even for growing kids, they all are very important.
