Kerala, an Indian state in the southwest, is well known for its extensive and varied cultural legacy. Keralan culture is a distinctive fusion of foreign influences, religious diversity, and native customs. These are some salient features of Keralan culture.

Performing Arts and the Arts:

Traditional dance-drama known as "kathakali" is distinguished by its ornate costumes, vibrant makeup, and complex facial expressions.
Mohiniyattam: An elegant dancing style with flowing movements and attitudes that women perform.
Kalaripayattu: An old style of martial arts that is thought to have been the ancestor of numerous martial arts across the globe.

Soundtrack:

Carnatic music is a kind of classical music popular in Kerala with complex melodies and rhythms.
Folk Music: Music and dance are integral parts of many folk traditions, such as Oppana, Margamkali, and Theyyam.

Celebrations:

The biggest celebration, Onam, is observed with opulence and includes magnificent feasts (Onam Sadya), cultural performances, and customary customs.
Vishu: The Malayalam New Year, observed with firecrackers and the "Vishukkani" ceremony.

Cuisine:
