If you ask who is the person who made the world laugh the most, history will say Charlie Chaplin. He was the one who strolled alive and made the people of the world laugh. But did you know that something inanimate makes the world laugh at par with Charlie Chaplin? Even if you don't know, your children will. About 85 years ago, the character Mickey Mouse stepped into the world of cartoons and set the fantasy world flying. It was Walt Disney who gave the world that magical character that made even adults laugh. Let's get to know the story that brought him the vast sky of entertainment.

Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Illinois, USA. He had an interest in painting and drawing from an early age. By the age of seven, he was painting and selling to his neighbors. Instead of studying schoolwork, he would always draw landscapes and animals. Although his father did not like it, his mother encouraged Walt Disney to choose a favorite field.

Walt Disney studied painting and photography at McKinley High School in Chicago. He joined a fine arts college and honed his painting skills. He would act like his favorite movie star Charlie Chaplin at Disney School. Teachers would ask him to tell a story and he would tell the story by drawing pictures on the blackboard. Unbeknownst to his father, he also had the experience of acting in comedy plays at local theaters at night.

In 1922, at the age of 21, Walt Disney started his first company, Laugh-O-Grams, with his brother Roy. He started the company by borrowing $500 from his uncle. He experimented with making caricature films and produced a cartoon called Alice in Cartoon land which failed and the company went bankrupt. But that first failure did not upset him. Undeterred, Walt Disney then created a new caricature called Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. It did somewhat better, but someone else bought the rights and cheated Disney. Even then, disheartened Disney and his brother Roy are going to give us a hand from now on we will do our own business. He said it will be ours.

Mickey Mouse's face was formed by just three circles with two ears and that was the miraculous mouse that was introduced to the world at that time. It became world famous within a couple of years of its birth. Hollywood's attention turned to Walt Disney. It was Disney who created Mickey and gave him his voice. In his subsequent cartoons like Steamboat Willie and The Skeleton Dance, people watched Mickey's pranks and pranks unblinkingly and children fluttered in the sky. Adults became children again and laughed, forgetting their worries.
