History bestows the lofty recognition of 'The Great' or 'The Greatest' on those who excel in any field. We are about to meet a player who has achieved that feat in the field of sports. Muhammad Ali, the uncrowned king of the world of boxing, is the only person to be called 'The Greatest' in the sport. Muhammad Ali was born on January 17, 1942 in America to a black family. His birth name was Cassius Marcellus Clay.

He was physically strong from an early age. At that age he had a dream of becoming a very famous boxer. He later joined the Black Muslim Movement and converted to Islam, changing his name to Muhammad Ali. Ali won the International Boxing Award at the age of eighteen. He participated in the 1960 Rome Olympics and won a gold medal. Even then the sports world did not recognize him properly.

It was on February 25, 1965 that Muhammad Ali rose up and started a new era in the world of boxing. That year, Muhammad Ali defeated Sonny Liston to win the first ever "World Heavyweight Champion" boxing title. The sports world witnessed the birth of a champion in the world of boxing. Ali was the "World Heavyweight" boxer from 1964 to 1967. He was later stripped of his title after refusing to serve in the US military. He matched Joe Frazier to win the title again. But he failed.

Realizing that success and failure in the game are alternating, Ali did not give up and trained hard. In 1974, he again defeated Joe Brazier to win the world title. After defeating Leon Spinks, Muhammad Ali defeated the same Spinks in 1978 to regain the world title for the third time. It is noteworthy that Muhammad Ali became the first boxer in the history of world boxing to win the world title three times by defeating his opponents. After that he was given the title of 'The Greatest'. He has fought 61 times. Out of which he won 56 matches and suffered only five defeats.

Notably, he won 37 times by knockout. Muhammad Ali lost to Larry Holmes in his attempt to win the award for the fourth time. Age is also a reason for that failure. But the name and fame he had already got was not affected by this defeat. Muhammad Ali was instrumental in popularizing boxing around the world. Her daughter Laila Ali is now following her lead in the world of women's boxing. The movie 'The Greatest' was also released based on Muhammad Ali.

It is true that Parkinson's disease has brought down Muhammad Ali, who defeated many with his strength. Doctors say he got the disease from punches he received in the head during boxing fights. However, the sports world predicts that it may take a long time for another person to match the fame and charm he brought to the world of boxing. Muhammad Ali certainly played an important role in the rise of blacks. He says this while referring to his success
