IRON MAN KATHTHI REVIEW
Indian Times

Synopsis: A criminal named Kathiresan, also known as Kaththi, escapes from a prison in Kolkata and travels to Chennai, where he encounters his identical twin Jeevanandham, who is fighting forThe first 45 minutes of the movie were tedious and annoying since there was nothing exciting to watch, and there was no connection between the two characters who appropriated each other's personas for their own ends. The plot is hazy. To get some free air from it, you have to wait till you go to the toilet.
The songs in the movie are the most distressing because the time and the words don't in any way fit the story. They are awkwardly and pointlessly positioned, which breaks up the flow of the movie.
Vijay's dialogues are written to his standards. Recently, however, it has done the movie title "Kaththi" justice, despite not initially.
The script had several weak spots, but after the interval, aReview of Kaththi by the Koimoi.com Team from October 23, 2014

The focus of the film was social activist Jeevanantham (Vijay), an M.Sc. in Hydrology, who is working to protect farmers' land by implementing water resourcing. If Vijayakanth served as "Ramana"'s messiah, Vijay now fills that role. It is clear in the scene where Jeeva (Vijay), who has been beaten up by dishonest police officers, exhorts his villagers to continue farming even if he has to die. As he is carried back inside for more beatings, we witness dozens of farmers sobbing. Were we not reminded of the crucifixion?
Being a commercial movie, "Kaththi" is expected to have some heroics, action, and romance. However, in this instance Murugadoss has painted his hero as a messiah, a member of the common people prepared to even lay down his life. What would he change to turn it become a masala movie? He cleverly makes advantage of the idea of a dual hero by exposing us to"Kaththi," directed by A.R. Murugadoss, stars Vijay, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Neil Nitin Mukesh, and Satish.
If you've seen A.R. Murugadoss's "Ramana," you'll probably concur that the latter's "Kaththi" is just a chic remake of the former created with a luxurious budget, a bigger star, a bigger problem, a prettier heroine (with no room for performance), and a lot of melodrama (the misery of farmers). There are a few enjoyable moments in "Kaththi." Several coins get into a battle, which is really skillfully planned. A group of farmers who are currently working in low-paying occupations donated the coins for Jeeva's cause. There is a powerful emotional resonance to the scene when he uses these coins to defeat the goons sent by MNC stooges. The battle takes place in the dark, yet for some reason viewers can plainly see Vijay, which makes it another problematic scenario.
Because we only appreciate anything creative the first time, when this action sequence is replayed in the conclusion, it loses its allure. The second time you perform it, it gets boring. The masala moments, though, are what send Vijay's fans into a frenzy.
