You are having your cup of tea, scrolling down your insta feed, sharing memes and suddenly a bell rings on another phone. Your father takes up the call and just informs you that so and so relative from our family has passed away. Nothing new, as we all know, everyone has to leave one day. But what disturbs me personally here is, the wording or I should say the reason of death. It is “they slept peacefully at night and didn't wake up in the morning.”
This phrase makes me realize the unpredictability of life a bit more. If I just narrate the normal story of every house, it's the general eating and sleeping patterns, little worrisome characters worried about next day chores, and the usual stuff. All this is going fine, we adapt ourselves to the monotonous routine only to find one day, the person whom you are used to seeing every day didn't wake up because he/she has breathed his/her last. How strange ?
We take places, things, pets and most importantly humans for granted. We often tend to keep differences, our thoughts to ourselves, and appreciate another person the least. We are always on our toes in finding faults in other's work and expect that we always remain ahead no matter what mistakes or faults we commit.
These Phone calls are a reminder for each one of us, to appreciate a person when he can acknowledge it not when he is gone forever. Such phone calls can ring anytime at any house, and you will only be left with the regret of not telling that person how much he/she meant to you.
Understand that we all have a limited amount of time here on this planet. So, Just live your life the way you want to, spend time with people without any fear, say sorry if you've done something wrong, take that leap of faith, because once time passes, you will only be left with words and not with people.
God has his plans and journeys fixed for each one of us. So, why not just trust him and not live in fear? Fill yourself with gratefulness, that whenever you leave this world, you feel happy and have a smile because you know, you lived your life fully and there is nothing to feel sorry for. The only thing certain in this life is death, which itself is unpredictable.
