We have been told many times ,, “Life is a Race” ,, but never taught how to run this race ,, and the lines below will give you some idea about it… 

This story is of one of my friends who was very good in athletics but too hungry for success.,.. For him winning was like everything ,,, One day he was preparing for an athletics competition in the outskirts of our village with our friends ,, I was sitting under a tree with lot of crowd and watching him win all the time with a great spirit ,,,..The crowd was cheering him with great ecstatic ,,… An old man arrived there and he was too watching him calmly without expressing any sentiments … A second trial was called and two fit young men came seeing my friend ,, to compete with him ,, the race started and he won the race again with the same spirit ,, the crowd was cheering him with more enthusiasm,,  and he felt proud on himself ,,, the old man was seeing him with same calm face and no sentiments ,,.. My friend was pleading for another race ,, and then the old man stepped forward and asked him to wait for some time ,, he was bringing two new challengers for him … After some time the old man presented two new challengers to him ,, an elderly frail lady and a blind man ,,, .. “What is this ?” , my friend quizzed… , “This is no race..”, he exclaimed …., “Race !” ,, said the old man.. The race started and my friend was the only finisher ,, and the other two challengers left standing at the starting line… ,, My friend was  ecstatic ,, he raised his arms in delight … but,, the crowd however was silent ,, showing no sentiments towards my friend ,,, .. “What has happened ?, why don't the people join in my success ?” ,, my friend asked the old man ,,, .. “Race again !” ,replied the old man ,, “But this time, finish together ,,all three of you” ,, the old man said him … My friend thought a bit , and stood in the middle of the blind man and the frail lady ,, and then took the two challengers by his hand .. The race began ,,and he walked slowly ,too slowly , to the finishing line and crossed it .. ,, The crowd was ecstatic and cheered and waved at my friend ,, ..The old man smiled gently nodding his head ,, This time my friend was only smiling with proud and felt important … “Old man ,I understand not ! ,,Who the crowd cheering for ? ,,which one of us three ?” ,, My friend asked the old man ,, The old man looked into his eyes , placing his hand on his shoulder, and replied softly,," Little boy, for this race you have won much more than in any race you have ever ran before, and for this race the crowd cheer not for any winner! "….

You see in life ,,, in Your life ,, What are you running for ,, Are you hungry for success ? .. Is winning the only measurement for you in your life ? .. Who are you running against?,, and if you win against everybody,, then soon the people will stop cheering for you… 

At the end of your life if you look back ,, the question is : Who was running next to you in this race… , If they were weaker and old ,did you help them to get across the line,, did you all finish together ?,, Because that's the best race You can ever run…..

So run this race,, this race ,,called LIFE ,, but don't forget : It's not important if you win or not ,, it is important , HOW YOU RUN THIS RACE….
