elcome to my world (the world of a last born child). I don't know where to start and end this story. I guess I'll go with the flow. The person reading this, yeah YOU , you may or may not be the last one in your family but it's kinda interesting to know our feelings and thoughts. So, come on, let's go!!!
I don't know about others but we last borns have both pros and cons. We can start with the advantages. You will be the youngest member in your family as you are the last born and they feel to protect you at all costs. They never leave you go anywhere ALONE. You get whatever you ask for..... Food, drinks, snacks, clothing.... etc. And most importantly you get the help of your siblings even if they are not interested in ordering any help and even if they hate it and it's juts because you have the perks of being the baby in your family.
As we know that diamonds cut diamonds, this is exactly that same scenario to that proverb. That shield of protection our family gives us makes us to be dependent on them. So we get used to relying on others. We lose our independence, freedom and privacy sometimes. In my case, it is worse. I didn't get to choose a field of my interest to study because my siblings were already in that field and they want me to join a different course. I don't know when they're gonna understand it's not about fulfilling their wishes.
Sadly, I guess I have more disadvantages rather than the pros. But it is true. People think that last borns are living a life where they are being treated like a princess or prince. To be honest,we are not. We are struggling too but in different ways. We don't get to explore things because our elders have chosen and failed to succeed in it. It didn't mean I'm gonna fail too. All that we ask is, just let us try. Let us live our life. We don't want silver spoons to feed us. We can take care of ourselves and even the people around us.
To all the people we can understand my feelings just don't give up. Stand for what you want and don't take any advantage of being the last born
