Vikram Story: After a series of police killings, a black policeman goes looking for a mysterious band of masked men who have declared war on a system that protects a dreaded drug trafficking organization.

Vikram Review: Lokesh Kanagaraj put together a spy-filled world of Kamalhasan's 1986 movie Vikram and his own 2019 movie Kaithi. The universe without actually jumping into it. It unravels the mysteries of spy movies and provides some of the thrills of action movies, but it does not completely satisfy or leave the adrenaline rush promised by such highly ambitious movies.

The film begins with interest when Karnan (Kamal Hashan), the father of the martyred police officer Prapanchan (Karidas Jayaram), is killed. We learn that there are many such killings, and a group of masked men claim responsibility and call it their war against the system. Police chief Jose (Chamban Vinod Jose) brought in a Black Ops team led by Amar (Fahad Facil), who began to delve into Karnan's life. The prime suspect is Santhanam (Vijay Sethupathi), a terrifying drug trafficker with a large family, looking for shipments of raw materials that could make him the champion. Amar, on the other hand, is confused by many versions of Carnan. Was he an alcoholic father mourning the loss of his son, femininity, or more? More importantly, is he dead or alive? Vikram works best in the first half, as Amar and his team understand the killings and try to track down the murderers. These parts contain very little Kamal Haasan, but I always feel his presence, both as a character and as an actor. From Nayakan to Ambesivam, Kamal's work has nods, and discovering them offers some small thrills.

The actor who is in action star mode here also has a moment to whistle, which leads to a pause And Vijay Sethupathi seems to be playing a ruthless villain, resuming where he was interrupted by the master. But once the easy-to-guess mystery surrounding Karnan is unravelled, the story becomes fairly straightforward.

A small bunch of police officers must put their position on the gangster's army. Similar to what you got in prisoners, but not very effective here. In his honour, Roquesh tries to provide an emotional keynote in the subplot, which includes the babies of Karna and Prapanchan, but it is not touched enough. It also makes the arcs of Amar and Santhanam predictable. Fahad's Amar has been more or less cancelled, but Vijay Setupati is working hard. Narain as Bejoy, the prisoner's honest police officer, is also ignored. Even the acclaimed Surya cameo appearance, which serves as the setup for the next article in the Loquesh Kanagaraji universe, is a bit disappointing.

The action scenes are well-choreographed, but you're not in a hurry. However, in action hero movies, the maximum moment of inertia occurs in stunt scenes involving female characters (maids/spies played by Vasanthi). More moments like this were needed for Vikram to be truly memorable. A special thanks to anbuarivu master to all fight scene that makes goosebumps to audience
