What exactly is positive thinking?
It's easy to think of it as looking at the world through rose-colored glasses and ignoring or shining the negative aspects of life. However, positivethinking actually means tackling life's challenges with a positiveattitude.
2 Positivethinking does not necessarily mean avoiding or ignoring the bad aspects of life. Instead, it's about taking full advantage of potentially bad situations, trying to see the best of others, and looking positively at yourself and your abilities. Understanding positive thinking and self-talk it does not mean ignoring the unpleasant situations of life. It means tackling the inconvenience in a more positive and productive way. I think the best will happen, not the worst. It often begins with self-talk. Self-talk is an endless stream of silent thoughts in your head. These automatic thoughts can be positive or negative. Part of your self-talk comes from logic and reason. Other self-talks can result from misunderstandings you create due to lack of prejudiced information or expectations about what will happen. Your attitude towards life is quite pessimistic, mostly when negative thoughts come to mind. If your thoughts are mostly positive, you're probably an optimist-a person who practices positive thoughts. Physiological adjustment is just one piece of the puzzle. It is also important to catch other negative triggers early on. Your thinking determines what thoughts flow in your head and how you feel and react to each. When your thinking is bad, everything around you will look even worse. For example, you are at the airport and are unnecessarily stuck when going through security. Then the Flight Attendant checking in you is rude to you. An employee of another airline listens to your ticket, apologizes and upgrades to Business Class. Are you sticking to the hassle of the airport in the air, or are you grateful for the spacious seats and complimentary cocktails? Do you see delays as wasted time or as a way to reconnect with yourself over time? Do you automatically rely on the power of that or do negative thinking take over?
