Our body contains 70% of water by knowing this we can understand the importance of water in our body.Water performs vital functions in our body.All metabolic activity is not possible wihout water.

Water helps our mouth glands to create saliva.This saliva is made up of different enzymes which is so necessary for mixing of food and then breaking down till digestion

If your mouth is not producing enough saliva then increase your intake of fluids because saliva also protects our mouth 9 of food which can be acidic or basic in nature.

Also in old age our capabilty to produce saliva decreases then we can maintain it by increasing the intake of fluids.

It regulates our body temperature .We all know that our body temperature should lie in a specific range which is around 37 degree celsius.Otherwise,this can create problems later.

Our body loses water by various processes in a day.For example:-Sweating, Hot climate and Physical exercises.I know sweating keeps our body cold but if we dont replenish the water which we are losing from sweating then it will make our body even more hotter.This is because during sweating our body also loses different tyes of electrolytes.

More water consumption means more lubrication to our joints.Thats why it become easier to do hard work when we are hydrated.

Our body produces lot of waste during the day and to excrete it from us our  body needs lot of water.Water helps to soften stools and prevent us from constipation.Water keeps us away from kidney stones because with excess of water our kidneys works with so efficiency.

Constipation is an emerging problem anyone can suffer from constipation.There is only one way by which we can protect ourself from constipation that is by eating more fibre and adding more fluids in our diet.Carbonated water can also help in constipation.

It also helps us in our digestion and picking up nutrients like minerals and vitamin from food.

Even if you want to lose your body weight then consumption of more water will help you during exercising.

we can also increase our metabolic rate by drinking more water.A study in USA found that we can increase our metabolism upto 30 percent.
