Ok readers, Let us continue our story,

“Yes,” Rohan replied, his voice barely audible. “It’s coming from downstairs.”With trembling hands, Rohan grabbed a flashlight and crept out of bed. Priya followed closely behind. They tiptoed down the grand staircase, the whispers growing louder with each step. The sound seemed to be coming from the library. As they entered the room, the whispers abruptly stopped. The room was empty, but the air was thick with tension.Suddenly, the door to the basement creaked open. A cold draft blew through the library, sending shivers down their spines. Rohan and Priya exchanged frightened glances but knew they had to investigate. With the flashlight guiding their way, they descended the narrow staircase into the basement.

The basement was dark and damp, with a musty smell that made Priya gag. They moved cautiously, the beam of the flashlight revealing old furniture covered in dust and cobwebs. In the far corner, they found an old wooden chest. Rohan hesitated for a moment before opening it. Inside, they found an assortment of old photographs and letters, yellowed with age.As they examined the contents, Priya picked up a photograph of a family standing in front of Blackwood Manor. The faces were blurred, but the eyes seemed to stare directly at her. She shuddered and put the photograph back.“Let’s go back upstairs,” Rohan suggested. “We can look through this stuff in the morning.”They hurried back to their bedroom, leaving the basement door open. That night, neither of them could sleep. The whispers had stopped, but an uneasy feeling lingered in the air. They both wondered what secrets Blackwood Manor held and if they were ready to uncover them.

The next morning, Rohan and Priya sat in the kitchen, sipping their tea. The events of the previous night lingered in their minds. Determined to understand what they had experienced, they decided to explore the contents of the wooden chest from the basement.Rohan carefully spread out the old photographs and letters on the kitchen table.

The images depicted various families who had lived in Blackwood Manor over the decades. One letter, dated 1920, caught Priya's attention. It was addressed to a woman named Amrita, and the handwriting was shaky, as if written in haste."My dearest Amrita," Priya read aloud. "The voices are getting louder. They won't let me sleep. The children are scared, and I fear for our safety. We must leave this house before it consumes us all.""That sounds like our experience," Rohan said, his brow furrowed. "Do you think these voices drove them away?""It seems like it," Priya replied. "But why? What happened here?"They continued to sift through the letters, finding more mentions of strange occurrences and fear.

One letter, in particular, stood out. It was from a man named Rajan, dated 1950. He described hearing a woman's cries in the middle of the night and seeing shadowy figures moving through the halls."We need to find out who these people were," Rohan said. “Maybe Mr. Sharma knows something.”
