Symbolization Of Being An Indian Woman

The point here to be raised is that does the ideology behind being a woman always refers to long hair plated down the knees garlanded with flowers modestly dressed wearing traditional jewelry having fair and so called feminine beauty . Are the famous paintings of Raja Ravivarma considered the principle model of all Indian Women or do we really have one? Don't you think the way of calculating a women's beauty by the length of their hair, size of their bust or by their skin tone is utter fatuous.

I dont get the thing when we are asked to behave like a girl , you should be kind polite sensitive and should never raise your voice loud and I dont get it either when we are told that you are a woman you should be brave bold and should speak up out loud fearlessly. What does this society mean when they pinned up the example of Devi Seetha's Sacrifice as the perfect one to be a women, is it to show that women can take strong sacrificial decisons or does that indirectly mean it's just their piece of cake.

If you are a girl your sound shouldn't trigger the wind or else you will be tagged a ‘Virago’ . It's highly offensive to hold hands or hug even your own brothers in the public but if someone have the status of being her legal husband, even stabbing you to death matters nothing.  Stepping out with short hair, tattooed hands, short dress and a bit more makeup can get you dumped with all sorts of comments like “ She's a slut” “Are you really a girl” “Aren't you ashamed of yourself ” or “Dont you have anyone at home to control you” , Isn't it inspiring ?

The biggest burden a girl can have all along her life is the compliments and the good certificate given to her by others stating her kind attitude and polite behavior towards others which weighs her head heavy with the huge responsibility of maintaining this name tag of the so called ‘good girl’ which will cage them tight with restricting bars from achieving their “beyond the moon” dreams.

I dont have any intention to contradict the traditional views or ideas that have been followed through the years but just want to make it clear that those should not be the only ones. I'm really sorry if the points I stated above sounded contrary to anyone's point of thinking.

Thanks for reading and showing interest in my blogs. Stay safe & healthy.
