The Walking Dead Marion Duchenne

A psychiatric nurse worked at a residential mental health facility. One of their residents was an elective mute, which means that he didn't / wouldn't/ couldn't talk, but there were no medical reasons as to why. He had spoken earlier in his life and in fact seemed quite normal back then, with the exception of being close to seven feet tall. He'd been raised in the deep south and joined the military when he was 19.

But one night he vanished and declared as missed and dead.

10 years later, a seven-foot-tall man stepped into the emergency room of the department of veterans affairs hospital in her part of the Midwest and told the receptionist, "My name is Marion Duchenne ( not the real name), I have been dead for ten years.  This was the last word he had ever spoken.

He was covered with dust and wore the same clothes he allegedly wore on the night he disappeared. His social security number was not used. There was no identification of him. However they were able to identify him, via fingerprints. The family was notified, but they were in mourning for their already deceased husband and he anyone who claims to be said that they couldn't. They asked not to contact me again.

Marion seemed to move his mouth and talk and mutter everyday, but there was no sound. He had an unnerving habit of throwing his head back with mouth wide open as if he were laughing heartily, but not even a breath could be heard. If she talked to him he appeared to listen. Periodically throwing his head back in that laughter-mimicking way of immitation. One day she went to give medicine to him he muttering something and suddenly hold her hand and told something but she cannot able to found what he is telling because sound couldn't came.

Sometimes he hurting himself and laughing like nothing had happened anyway. And doing some unpleasant habits like hiting on the wall rolling on the floor.

Various medications wre tried but they have no positive or negative effect on him. Occupational therapy didn't help. If he was told to sit still, he got up and started pacing again.

On her last day at that job, the last thing she seen was Marion pacing in the parking lot, throwing his head back to “laugh”. Later she wondered is he was dealing with the ghosts all the time? Afterall these years, she still don't know.
