Today I am here with Bhagwad Gita's chapter 2, verse 1. This chapter is a summary of the whole Bhagwad Gita. so, let's start.
Sanjaya said: Seeing Arjuna full of compassion and very sorrowful, his eyes brimming with tears, Madhusüdana, Krishna, spoke the following words.
In this verse, Sanjay, who is the minister of King Dhritarashtra is telling him what is happening on the battlefield because he has a transcendental vision to see any place from anywhere, tells about Arjuna's situation on the battlefield.
Arjuna was full of tears in his eyes due to compassion towards his relatives and didn't want to fight. He was confused that what he has to choose between his duty and his relatives. Although Arjuna was a Kshatriya (warrior ) and a warrior doesn't hesitate to fight with anybody when other challenges, but what is the problem here. Problem is that Arjuna has a great love for his relatives, Respect for his Great Grandfather and his Teacher, who all are opposite to him. So, In this way, he is confused. Undoubtedly, a Kshatriya should not hesitate to fight with anybody whether the enemy is relative or anybody, but due to love with these relatives, he challenges his own duty as a Kshatriya. It means he is just thinking of his opposite relatives, not thinking of relatives who are with him, people of the kingdom who needed a great king like Yudhistir, his brother, and not thinking about Lord Krishna, who is saying him to fight and who is God himself and whose worship and service is the purpose of every Living entity, Not only of human but every living being whether it is Animal, Birds, Reptiles, etc. But, because only humans are able to understand the lord and his qualities and get indulged in his devotional service, they are expected to do work, which is pleasing to God. But, Even, Today's people are not aware of spirituality, then what to say about working for the pleasure of god. So, first, there is a need to understand spirituality, then they can realize why to serve God (Lord Krishna). And what is spirituality and what are the different types to be spiritual will be covered in further verses.
So, seeing Arjuna in this situation Lord Krsna explained to him.
