Well, there is a reason for which I am going off topic and writing a blog on this one besides the ‘Think Like a Programmer’ series.

3RD of SEPTEMBER, around 08:30 P.M..

A friend of mine sent me a message on Whatsapp. We don't generally chat on such social media and use whatsapp occasionally for either important works or important memes(they are important too😁) and hence I expected that message to be one of such kind too. But the beginning of the message itself drew my deepest attention towards it.

The message was as follows-

You all must have seen such messages and so have I, but this one was a bit too pursuading. According to the message, once someone starts reading the message, he/she can't stop reading it. And it talks about a girl named Teresa Fidalgo who died 27 years ago and warns us to send this message to 20 people otherwise she would sleep by your side forever.

No matter how scary the message is but I can't lose my Radicalism, so I was sure not to send the message to a single person. But I was then curious about the case as the message even asked us to search about her on the internet and so I did.

Well, the results were not that scary except for a video on youtube which was a recording of a car accident which was caused by the ghost of Teresa. The video was a recording done by a person in the car with two of his friends.

In the video they are seen giving lift to a white dressed strange girl who did not have a specific destination and just kept quite for almost the whole time excpet that she told her name - Teresa. They just kept asking her if anything was wrong or if she wanted something. But after some time, she pointed to a spot beside the road and said, “Do you see that point over there, it was there where I once met an accident…and DIED.” and listening to this when the person turned the camera at her, her face was covered with blood and the car crashed as she screamed.

Two of them died with one survivor David who was not able to explain what had happened in the car and upon police investigation, it was found that there was a girl named Teresa Fidalgo who had died in a car accident at that precise spot.

I personally thought that the incident was real unless I looked up more about it, and found out the whole video was a kind of a short movie directed by the person who published the video on Youtube - David Rebordão. But that doesn't mean that the complete story is fake! He made the video because he found that the topic of ghost of Teresa Fidalgo was a compelling one.

So, the truth is that once there was a car accident at that exact point causing the death of a girl named Teresa Fidalgo who rumoured to have become a ghost and became popular through a social media message which compelled people to forward it. Definetely the ghost of a girl would not kill people to forward a message! It was a social media message which has just got a second round recently.
