This one is a story about an incident in my class.

Year 2018. Just like every year there was a Rangoli competition to be held in out school on the occasion of Diwali. And just like every year there had to be two teams from each section of each class - one of boys and one of girls. My team had me, Shobhit, Abhijeet, Kabir and Aditya (note⚠️ - no need to remember the names, just telling). And there was the girls team.

Well, every year it all went normal, with no interference or disturbance from any team, but this time…ummm…wait I am telling.

First of all, we were in a search of a good topic, due to the rule that the rangoli must have a moral. Then Kabir suggested the idea of the Chandrayan-2 which had recently been launched but unfortunately failed.

We all were surprised on him for using his brain before us. The topic was decided. But there is the catch, not surprisingly, he had not used his own brain but was inspired by the girls' design which showed a rocket (note² - their topic was ‘New India’ which had nothing to do with a rocket). So we didn't think about it much and moved on.

But, our topic reached their ears (probably Kabir himself had told them) and they all went mad, literally. Remember that we were calm. They were now against this theft of idea by the boys and wanted justice, but it was the boys who were going to suffer. They ordered us, didn't request, ordered us to remove the rocket from our design. We were still calm and just informed them that the ideas were surely completely different so there was no issue at all. But, I don't know on what basis they considered it a cheating.

Initially, both teams were debating on who should remove the rocket from their design (note³ - The ‘debate’ was going on in the LIBRARY, imagine the struggle). But, soon we proposed a treaty where no one had to change their designs, all good. But the girls were not ready to accept this as well. And you know what, we managed to be calm till now.

The next period was of our class teacher. And unexpectedly, they complained, yes the girls complained about it. And our dear teacher, who is a strong supporter of women impoverment, ordered us to remove the rocket from our design. A sense of despair filled us. We had lost.

But wait, picture abhi baaki hai mere dost.
